Who we are
Measurably Better Advisory (“Measurably Better,” “we,” or “I”) is a consulting practice based in Virginia, run by Shelley Rappaport. This policy explains what information this website collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect very little, we don’t sell it, and we don’t track you around the internet.
What we collect
When you book a call. Our scheduling page is run by Zoho. When you book, you share your name, email address, and anything you choose to type in the booking form. We use it to schedule the call and prepare for it.
When you email us. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. Our email is hosted by Zoho.
When you use our contact form. The form collects what you type into it: your name, email address, company, topic, and any message. Form submissions are handled by our website host, Netlify, and forwarded to our email. We use them only to reply to you.
Automatically, when you visit. Like nearly every website, our host (Netlify) keeps standard server logs that can include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the time of your visit. These help keep the site running and secure. We may also use basic visit counts from our host that do not rely on cookies and do not identify you personally.
Fonts. This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google may receive basic connection information such as your IP address.
What we don’t do
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. We don’t sell, rent, or trade your information. We don’t add you to a mailing list or newsletter. We don’t use your information to build marketing profiles.
How we use your information
We use what you share to respond to you, schedule and prepare for conversations, deliver work you’ve hired us to do, and keep this website working and secure. That’s it.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run this practice, and only as needed for them to do their job: Netlify (website hosting and our contact form), Zoho (email and scheduling), and Google (website fonts). Each has its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Client information
Information you share during a paid engagement, including assessments, interviews, surveys, and documents you provide, is covered by our engagement agreement and any confidentiality or nondisclosure agreement between us. We use it only to deliver the work, and we report staff input in aggregate, never by name.
How long we keep it
We keep emails and booking details as long as needed to respond to you and maintain a reasonable business record. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below). Our host’s server logs are kept according to Netlify’s own retention practices.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email shelley@measurablybetteradvisory.com and we’ll respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, we’ll explain why, and you can ask us to reconsider.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take care with what you share.
Children
This site is intended for business professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Links to other sites
This site links to other services, including LinkedIn and our Zoho scheduling page. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to review them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the updated version here and change the date at the top.
